Probe leads to three arrests, marijuana seizure in Ellsworth

ELLSWORTH – Three Hancock County residents were arrested Thursday during an investigation into heroin trafficking in the Ellsworth area, according to police officials.

Jeffery Troger, 29, of Ellsworth was arrested on two counts of heroin trafficking, Class B crimes, and cultivating marijuana, a Class D crime. A search of his home by Maine Drug Enforcement Agency officers resulted in the discovery of 29 marijuana plants, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia.

Peter Boucar, 40, of Sullivan was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, violation of bail, and failure to give a correct name and date of birth. He arrived during a DEA search of an Ellsworth home, allegedly seeking to purchase drugs. He was allegedly found with three syringes, $1,500 in cash and drug paraphernalia.

Clery Galarza, 33, of Trenton was arrested for heroin trafficking and violation of bail. Galarza was out on bail on a charge of aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs and was allegedly found with 5 grams of heroin. He is being held at Hancock County Jail pending a court appearance on Monday.

Troger was arrested and later released on $2,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 5. Boucar was released by police and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 19.

A search of another Ellsworth home resulted in the seizure of 12 grams of cocaine packed in four small balloons, items with heroin residue, prescription pills, methadone and drug paraphernalia. The resident was not home at the time of the search and has not yet been arrested.
