Hampden native Amanda Rodgerson has been named the assistant athletic director and women’s basketball coach at Southern Maine Community College in South Portland.

Rodgerson, a former University of New England and Hampden Academy standout, spent last year working in the sports management department at Old Dominion University in Virginia. She is the second all-time leading scorer at UNE.

The Seawolves were 9-10 last year and lost to UMaine-Augusta in the first round of the Yankee Small College Athletic Association playoffs.
