Jonesport-Beals High School

JONESPORT – The faculty and administration of Jonesport-Beals High School have announced the class parts for graduation ceremonies that were held Sunday, June 13.

Valedictorian is Sara Hunkler, daughter of Kelly Cunnane and Sam Hunkler of Beals. She has received the Maine Principals’ Award, Maine Scholars Achievement Award and the University of Rochester Humanities-Social Science Award. A member of the National Honor Society, Hunkler has been involved in a mentor program, Maine Youth Voices and the yearbook.

Salutatorian is Starr Look, daughter of Mary and Bert “Binky” Look of Jonesport. A member of the National Honor Society and representative for Dirigo Girls State, Look plans to attend Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor and major in business management.
