Air Force Senior Master Sgt. Cindy Unerfusser has been named U.S. Air Force Financial Quality Assurance Manager of the Year for 2003. Unerfusser is a career assistance adviser with the 91st Space Wing, Minot Air Force Base, N.D. She has 18 years of military service and is the daughter of Floyd Brewer of Houlton.

Air Force Airman 1st Class James A. Bickford has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base. He is a graduate of Lawrence High School in Fairfield.

Army Pvt. Kyle D. R. Allen has graduated from the heavy-wheeled vehicle mechanic advanced individual training course at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

Allen is the son of Carrie and Mike Allen of Presque Isle.
