PROSPECT – A car struck a telephone pole in Prospect on Tuesday, causing a power line to fall. Central Maine Power Co. was receiving reports of outages from households in Winterport, Frankfort, Hampden, Monroe, Prospect, Searsport and Stockton Springs late into Tuesday because of the accident. The number of households affected was not known late Tuesday.

No other information on the incident was available late Tuesday.
