GLENBURN – Lincoln defeated Orono 13-3 and Hermon beat Glenburn 11-1 during District 3 Little League softball all-star action for ages 9-10 Tuesday.

Harli Maxwell gave up just three runs on five hits and no walks while striking out nine to help lead Lincoln beat Orono.

Maxwell hit three singles to drive in four runs for Lincoln. Morgan Russell doubled with two RBIs and Jenna Brown hit a RBI single.

Ruby Wallace-Ewing had two singles with two RBIs for Orono.

Beth DeCoste allowed only one run on four hits and two walks while striking out seven to help Hermon win.

Abigail Burgess doubled and singled with two RBIs for Hermon and Kayla Wilcox hit a double. Jessica Allen and Laura Sirois each had two singles.

Lauren McLaughlin hit a double and a single for Glenburn and Jessica Bradford had a RBI double.

At Waldoboro, Aaron Hadley and Tyler Bates each singled twice to help Rockland win its second game in the District 2 tournament.

Bobbie Hall earned the win on the mound.

Dillon Moody paced Waldo County with four singles and Logan Poirier cranked a home run. Nick Rodgerson and Garth Clemens each chipped in with two singles.
