BANGOR – It was on a winter day that Tom Mooney happened on a poster covered with pictures in the street, and with no way to guess who might have lost it.

Mooney brought the collage to The Weekly, where staff puzzled over it and could discern few clues, except the name “Kelly” written on a birthday cake in one of the photos.

Fortunately, a co-worker of Kelly (Crosman) Richardson read a brief story about the collage in last week’s The Weekly and recalled her friend’s sad tale of losing just such a memento.

Last Friday, Richardson turned up and was happily reunited with her photographs.

The collage, which had been lost when it was left atop a vehicle accidentally, was indeed special to the young woman.

“My mother made this for me on my 20th birthday. It went along with a quilt,” Richardson said.
