BAR HARBOR – The state medical examiner’s office has identified the body found Sunday evening in Hamilton Pond as that of Paul C. Kaiser.
Kaiser, who was 57, last was seen on June 22 walking along Route 3 near Acadia National Park. The Bar Harbor resident apparently walked into the woods in or near the park without any camping equipment. Police reported he had not had anything to eat for days before his disappearance.
The cause of Kaiser’s death was undetermined Thursday pending further study, according to a spokeswoman for the medical examiner.
