McGreevy, Cyr power victory by Millinocket

GLENBURN – Jared McGreevy pitched a four-inning no-hitter with eight strikeouts as Millinocket shut out Glenburn-Levant 13-0 Friday in District 3 Little League Baseball Tournament action for 11- and 12-year-olds.

Aaron Cyr doubled and singled with four RBIs for Millinocket, while Devin Pulkkinen singled twice.

Lincoln 3, Holbrook 2

At Lincoln, Ethan White hit a triple and a single with an RBI and scored the winning run to help lead Lincoln past Holbrook.

Tyler Tash gave up only two runs on six hits and two walks while fanning 11 for Lincoln and doubled with an RBI. Ivan Voisine hit a double.

Tyler Bissette doubled and singled for Holbrook. Kyle Senter hit a single with two RBIs, and Bennett Higgins had two singles.

Brewer 10, Orono-Veazie 5

At Brewer, Eric White hit a two-run triple in the first inning to help push Brewer to the win.

Jamie Williamson and Brian Kelley each hit RBI singles for Brewer.

Daisuke Ozaki doubled and singled to drive in a run for Orono-Veazie. Adam Leadbetter had two singles with an RBI, and Dan Lesser hit a two-run single in the first.

At Ellsworth, Kyle Haslam allowed only one hit in four innings to help Ellsworth win.

Cote Card, Tucker Lewis, and Delbert Beckwith each doubled for the winners.

Chris St. Peter doubled for Bucksport.

Acadians 3, Ellsworth 2

At Bar Harbor, Will Clark and Dylan Pessatore combined to allow only two runs on two hits and five walks while striking out nine to help lead the Acadians past Ellsworth.

Pessatore hit an RBI single in the first inning for the Acadians. Ian Hodgdon, Peter Logue, and Gordon Falt all singled.

Brad Folmer and Dakota Hellum both singled for Ellsworth.

Machias 11, Bucksport 1

At Machias, Noah Von Rotz hit a two-run homer and scored three runs as Machias scored in every inning of the four-inning contest.

John Hall tripled and drove home three runs for Machias, while winning pitcher Matt Little doubled and singled.

Sunrise 2, Calais 1

At Calais, Jacob Bachman singled to drive in a run to lead Sunrise past Calais.

Nathan Dublin singled and scored for Sunrise, and Jeremy Burditt hit a single.

Josh Gillespie struck out nine and hit a double and single for Calais. Cameron Shorey had two doubles with an RBI, and Jeremy Carr hit two singles.

Old Town 7, Hermon 1

At Glenburn, McKayla Gastia gave up just one run on one hit while fanning eight to help Old Town past Hermon for the District 3 Little League ages 9-10 championship.

Gastia hit a double and two singles to knock in a run for Old Town, and Ashley England had three singles. Sam McLaughlin singled twice, and Natailes Savage doubled.

Jessica Allen singled in the fourth inning for Hermon.
