LEWISTON – Three local residents have been arrested on child pornography charges in a case that a top police official described as among the worst he has ever seen.
James Fisk, 51, and Stacie Fisk, 32, were charged with three counts of sexual abuse of a minor and three counts of furnishing liquor to minors. They were being held Wednesday at the Androscoggin County Jail.
Nicholas Richard, 25, was charged Wednesday with dissemination of sexually explicit material, police said.
Police said they seized computers and sexually explicit photographs and videos of adults and children.
Lewiston Police Chief William Welch said the children were as young as 2 years old. Police said the child the Fisks are accused of sexually abusing is a girl younger than 14. “We’ve confiscated several computers and an enormous amount of child pornography,” Welch said. “It’s among the worst we’ve ever seen. It’s among the most grotesque we’ve ever seen.”
Lewiston detectives and members of the Maine Computer Crimes Task Force began investigating the case more than a week ago, police said.
James Fisk was arrested July 1 on a charge of possessing child pornography with intent to distribute. The other charges were filed a day later while he was in jail. Stacie Fisk was arrested after she was taken to the police station for questioning.
