BELFAST – Members of the First Church in Belfast UCC voted unanimously in late June to call the Revs. Kate Winters and Joel Krueger to serve as co-pastors.

A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Winters holds a bachelor of arts degree in religious studies from Fairfield University in Connecticut, a master of arts degree in religion from Yale Divinity School, a doctorate in religion and society from Northwestern University and a master of divinity degree from Bangor Theological Seminary.

Krueger is a native of Fond du Lac, Wis., and holds a bachelor of arts degree in art education from the University of Wisconsin and a master of divinity degree from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary.

The two are co-pastors of a Congregational church in Wisconsin and plan to start their duties at the Belfast church in October.
