LAKE ERIE, Pa. – Defending two-time Busch North Series points champion Andy Santerre of Cherryfield captured his third win in four races and second straight by taking the checkered flag in the Local Dodge Dealers 150 at Lake Erie Speedway Saturday.

He won the inaugural Busch race at Lake Erie Speedway last year.

Santerre’s triumph was his fourth in seven races so far this season.

He qualified third.

Mike Johnson of Salisbury, Mass., was second, with Mike Olsen of North Haverhill, N.H., Bryan Chew of Mattituck, N.Y., and Scarborough’s Kelly Moore completing the top five.

Scarborough’s Ryan Moore, Kelly’s son, finished 11th and Yarmouth’s Billy Penfold was 15th in the 22-car field.

Christopher wins PASS race

At Thompson International Speedway in Thompson, Conn., Ted Christopher of Plainville, Conn., took the lead from Rick Martin on a lap 90 restart and collected the Pro All-Stars Series 100 at Thompson International Speedway on Saturday.

Defending two-time PASS points champ Ben Rowe of Turner wound up finishing second in his back-up car after wrecking his primary car in practice.

Martin, a native of Westport, Mass., was third. Scarborough’s Larry Gelinas was fourth and Johnny Clark of Farmingdale was fifth in the 34-car field.

Strong’s Tracy Gordon was the only other Maine driver who finished in the top 10 as he climbed to seventh after starting 33rd.

Beech Ridge Motor Speedway

At Scarborough, 2003 NASCAR Pro Series champion Bobby Babb of Windham held off Buxton’s Jackie Roussel to claim his first win of the year on Saturday night. Billy Rodgers of Old Orchard Beach finished third, Scarborough’s Dave Oliver was fourth, and South Waterboro’s Curtis Gerry rounded out the top five.

Bill Whorff Jr. of Topsham took the win in the Pro Stocks on Saturday night. Otisfield’s Gary Drew finished second, Scott Chubbuck of Richmond was third, Scott Robbins of Dixfield finished fourth, and South Portland’s Mike Maietta Jr. was fifth.

Albion’s Matt Lee took the lead from the outside pole and led to the checkers for his first Pro Stock win of the year on Saturday night. Dean Fuller of Albion finished second, third was Fairfield’s Jeff Burgess, Gary Norris Jr. of West Gardiner was fourth, and Albion’s Steve Nelson rounded out the top five.
