BANGOR – Christian Dionne slapped a two-run single and Shane Walton a two-run double to spark a six-run fourth inning as the Bangor Junior League all-stars defeated Hampden 11-7 for the District 3 baseball title Monday night at Mansfield Stadium.

Walton added a double, as did Mack Susi for the champions. Kyle Gallant slammed a two-run double.

Shawn Smith hit an RBI double for Hampden and Nolan Turner added a two-run single.

At Bar Harbor, Toby Woods led Machias by striking out 13 and allowing no earned runs. He added a two-run home run and a single.

Brandon Raye doubled and singled, bringing in two runs for Machias. Tyler Varney had two singles and an RBI.

Ben Walls paced the Acadians with a triple, single and RBI.

Sunrise 8, Calais 3

At Milbridge, Austin Smith singled twice and drove in four runs to help Sunrise eliminate Calais.

Curtis Worcester, Dustin Manning and Dylan Marston each had a single for the winners.

Dylan Carter doubled and scored and Mitchell Mingo singled for Calais.

At Bangor, Lance Lajoie hit a home run and a single, driving in two runs for the winners.

Kyle Savage pitched a one-hitter for Bangor West, striking out 12 and walking three. Sam Patterson singled twice and had four RBIs. Cody McInnis also had two singles.

Bill Weatherbee had a single for Orono-Veazie.

At Lincoln, Ethan White singled, doubled and drove home a run in Lincoln’s victory.

Ivan Voisine drove in two runs with a single and Tylor Tash had a double. Trevor Tash and Dillon Pete each had RBI singles.

Eric White hit a home run for Brewer. Nick Risser added a double and an RBI.

At Bangor, Devin Lyshon doubled and singled twice for Bangor East as they eliminated Millinocket from the playoffs.

Nate Lewis tripled and singled. Lonnie Hackett had two doubles and Luke Hetterman had a double and a single.

Garen Manzo doubled for Millinocket.

At Bucksport, Chris McGuire slammed a home run and a double, driving in three runs as Bucksport ran away win the win.

Forrest Wardwell allowed only one hit while striking out eight and walking three. Wardwell and Miles Bisher had two singles and two RBIs apiece. Alex Yates singled twice and doubled for two RBIs.

Nick Hunnewell singled for Ellsworth.

At Milbridge, Alicia Loston drove in five runs with two doubles to lead Ellsworth to the victory.

Ashley Smith doubled twice with a single for one RBI for Ellsworth. Rosie Vachon had a double, single and an RBI while Sarah Stanley tripled.

Brenn Alexander doubled to bring in three runs for Sunrise. Ashley Pennartz added a double and a single and Tashia Daley had a double.

Machias recorded the victory via forfeit because Ellsworth did not have a pitcher.

At Machias, Ryan Bailey singled twice, as well as scoring the winning run for Bucksport in the bottom of the sixth.

Sam Clapper doubled, singled and brought in one more run for the winners. Brandon Flegel tripled for two RBIs.

Mike Padilla and Seth Maker each singled twice for Machias.

Woodland 17, Houlton 3

At Woodland, the hosts defeated Houlton 17-3 in the first game and 7-5 in the second to win the District 7 Cal Ripken championship.

In the second game, Kyle Pike singled four times, driving in three runs to spark Woodland.

Aaron St. Pierre doubled twice to bring in four more runs for Woodland. Dakota Allen added three singles.

Corey Woodworth and Chris Williams each hit home runs in Houlton’s effort. Levi Scott had two singles and a double with two RBIs, while Ryan Wellington had three singles and an RBI.

In the first game, Randall Levesque doubled twice and singled twice to lead Woodland.

Allen chipped in with three singles and a double while Jordan Perry added a home run and a single. St. Pierre and Pike each singled four times.

Ryan Wellington and Logan Schaffer had a double apiece for Houlton.

In Saturday’s action, Houlton defeated Woodland 7-2 and then also beat Eastport 13-3. Woodland also defeated Eastport, 14-1.
