Aircraft inspections

The American Eagle Airlines aircraft maintenance facility at Bangor International Airport has added inspection work to its current maintenance workload, thus resulting in the addition of maintenance jobs.

Since April 30, two-day heavy maintenance inspections on the company’s fleet of Embraer regional jets have been performed at the Bangor facility.

To accomplish the new inspections and to further expand the carrier’s local maintenance capabilities, a $160,000 aircraft tail dock was added to the Bangor facility. The dock fits around the tail of the aircraft allowing technicians to reach and easily work on any part of the tail.
