BANGOR – The highway ramp that connects the eastbound lanes of Interstate 395 to the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 near the Odlin Road will be closed from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. for the next several nights.

The closures are part of a project to improve portions of both highways in the Bangor area, according to the Maine Department of Transportation.

Drivers also can expect nighttime closures on other interstate ramps, which will be announced in advance as the project progresses.

Other work areas include I-95 north from the Hampden rest area to just north of the Coldbrook Road overpass and nearly three miles of I-95 north in the Edinburgh-Howland area. The work includes culvert improvements, guardrail updates and replacement of deteriorated pavement, according to the MDOT.

All three projects are scheduled to be completed by late August.
