Wash. man indicted for violating order

BANGOR – A man from Washington state was indicted Wednesday by a federal grand jury for crossing state lines to violate a protection order.

Anthony Wayne Robinson, 41, was arrested last month in Gouldsboro. He is under a protection order dated May 28 by a Tacoma, Wash., judge that forbids him to have contact with his wife as a condition of his sentence for assaulting her. He also has been convicted there of assaulting a child, according to court documents.

Law enforcement officials in Maine were alerted by Robinson’s father-in-law that he was in Hancock County with his wife and children.

Robinson, who is being held in Penobscot County Jail, has been denied bail.

Others indicted Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Bangor included:

. Larry Perkins, 47, of Old Town, for possession with intent to manufacture and distribute 100 or more marijuana plants and nine counts of possession of a firearm after being convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.

Previously, Perkins was indicted on a similar drug charge and one gun charge.

. Edward Andrew Rooney, 23, of Bucksport, for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
