DEXTER – Two local teenagers have been charged with burglary in connection with a break-in last month at Renys Store on Main Street.

The two males, 17 and 18 years old, will appear Aug. 25 in Newport District Court for a juvenile detention hearing, according to Dexter Police Chief Arthur Roy.

Roy said the two broke into the back of the store on June 20 and took some small items.

One of the juveniles may face additional charges in the case as the investigation continues, Roy said.
