CASTINE – Some of the great houses of Castine will be opening for the Castine Historical Society’s House and Garden Tour, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday.

One of the homes on the tour was featured in House Beautiful magazine in September 1905. The 19th century craftsman-style cottage sits upon the cliff at Dyce’s Head, leading to its name, “Paradyce.”

Tour tickets are $30, and luncheon is available, by reservation, for $20 at the Manor Inn. For tickets and reservations, contact Robin Vogell at 326-9392 or by e-mail at svogell@hypernet.com.
