Martin wins PASS race

At White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, N.H. Saturday night, Rick Martin of Westport, Mass. had the lead on a restart with seven laps to go and held off Turner’s Ben Rowe to collect his first ever Pro All-Stars Series win in the PASS 150.

The race’s fourth caution occurred with nine laps to go. South Paris’ Sam Sessions was leading and Farmingdale’s Johnny Clark was running second.

Soon after restart, the two got tangled up and Clark spun out. He had to go to the back of the lead lap and Sessions was also sent to the back for his role in the paint-swapping.

Rowe, who lost a rear tire and fell a lap down early in the race, picked his way through the field and was back on the lead lap with 28 laps to go en route to his second-place finish.

Rounding out the top 10 were Bangor’s Gary Smith, Groton, Mass. native GeGe Gravel, Turner’s Mike Rowe, Hollis’ Richie Dearborn, Denmark’s Travis Khiel, Clark, Sessions and Dave Gorveatt of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

Correction: A shorter version of these results ran in the State edition.
