The Windmills Little League Rotterdam of Rotterdam, Netherlands, has earned its way into the 2004 Senior League World Series by winning the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) regional championship at Almere, Netherlands.

The Rotterdam team defeated Ramstein American Little League and Vogelweh/Sembach American Little League of Germany 12-6 in the EMEA championship game.

Rotterdam advances to the Senior League World Series to be held at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor on Aug. 15-21, joining Latin America champion Maricaibo, Venezuela, Asia Pacific champion Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and local entry Bangor, the Maine District 3 champion, as teams that already have qualified for the 10-team tournament.

The remainder of the field will be determined by Aug. 12, with five U.S. regional champions and the Canadian champion yet to be crowned.
