Kobyluck tips Santerre in Busch North

BEAVER FALLS, N.Y. – Matt Kobyluck of Oakdale, Conn. captured the Kinney Drugs 150 Busch North race at Adirondack International Speedway Saturday night, holding off points leader Andy Santerre of Cherryfield by one second.

Kobyluck, who was involved in wrecks in two races at New Hampshire International Raceway the previous weekend, gained the lead on lap 95 when Scarborough’s Ryan Moore had to pit after tangling with a lapped car.

Kobyluck led all but one lap the rest of the way to notch his first win since 2002.

Mike Olsen of No. Haverhill, N.H., who is chasing Santerre in the points, finished third.

Santerre, who was gunning for his fifth win in 10 races, extended his lead over Olsen to 37 points by passing Olsen on the last lap.

Scarborough’s Kelly Moore finished sixth, son Ryan wound up ninth and Yarmouth’s Billy Penfold came home 12th.
