BANGOR – Cote Card hit two triples and a single and knocked in two runs Monday to help lead Ellsworth past Waldo 8-5 in Game 6 of the ages 9-10 Little League Baseball All-Star State Tournament.
In Monday’s other game, Yarmouth blanked East Biddeford 10-0. Yarmouth now advances to the championship game on Thursday.
In Game 6, Kyle Haslam singled twice to knock in two runs for Ellsworth and Thomas Sawyer had an RBI double while pitching a five-hitter.
Cody Basso doubled to drive in a run for Waldo, which was eliminated.
In Game 7, Harry Ridge hit a triple and two singles for Yarmouth. Ryan Cody doubled and singled with three RBIs and Lou Distasio had two doubles to drive in a run.
Brady Fleurent and Taylor Reullard each singled for East Biddeford.
