Amanda Dinkins, 14, last was seen going to the Bangor Mall, according to Bangor police Detective Jeff Small. She did not return home as expected.

Dinkins’ mother said that her daughter has run away before, but it has always been for only a few days at a time, and she always calls to check in.

Dinkins may be in the company of a male named Jose, according to a missing-child poster released by the Bangor Police Department.

She is 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs 145 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. She last was seen wearing a red shirt, brown skirt, and carrying a black backpack.

Anyone with information should call Small at the Bangor Police Department at 947-7384.
