Estabrook win sets up semis match vs. Speirs

CUMBERLAND -Ben Estabrook will take on fellow Bangor native Jesse Speirs in a Thursday semifinal at the Maine Junior Golf Championship at Val Halla Golf and Recreation Center. Estabrook defeated Rockland’s R.J. Ochs 2 and 1 in match play after Ochs came from behind to beat Mere Creek’s Jordan Kelly 7 and 6. Two-time defending champion Speirs defeated Bath’s Cameron Burgess 6 and 5. The other semifinal will pit Blue Hill’s Mike Amato, who won his match 7 and 6, against Presque Isle’s Mike Hersey, who won 1-up.
