Newburgh’s Ricky Craven will be using a Richard Childress Racing engine instead of one from his PPI Motorsports team for Sunday’s Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, according to a story on ThatsRacin.com.
PPI began its own engine program last season but uses RCR engines at restrictor-plate tracks. A PPI spokesperson indicated the team will expand its use of RCR engines but it won’t occur on a regular basis.
