SOUTHWEST HARBOR – The 2005 Centennial Celebration Committee and the Chamber of Commerce will be developing next year’s program of activities and preparing all events by September for publication and advertising this fall.

The committee has approved more than 70 events, scheduled to begin Feb. 26, 2005, and continuing through the early fall. The committee is hoping for other supporting events to be sponsored by community and church organizations. Any organization willing to put on an event is urged to call the Chamber of Commerce at 244-9264.

The committee is also seeking volunteers to help out with the planning and implementation of the 2005 schedule. The committee will meet at 6 p.m. every other Wednesday through November, at the Southwest Harbor Public Library. Anyone interested in attending the meetings, or making a donation, should call the Chamber office at 244-9264.
