SCARBOROUGH – Rick Frenette captured his fourth victory of the season in the Pro Series at Beech Ridge Speedway Saturday night. Frenette led from the drop of the green but had a mirror full of Steve Carrier challenging him the entire 40 laps.

J.R. Barill chased down the leaders. Weaving in and out of slower traffic Frenette held Carrier and Barill at bay. At the checkered, Frenette edged out the duo by less than a car length. Jay Sands and divisional point leader, Bub Bilodeau, filled the top five

At Wiscasset, John Rideout picked up his third win in the Limited Sportsman race on Saturday night. Liberty’s Puncin St. Clair fought for second, as Maurice Young of Chelsea picked up third. Daune Love and Bill Pinkham rounded out the top five.

Oxford Plains Speedway

Twenty-eight laps into the 50-lap Oxford pro stock main event on New England Dodge Dealers Night, Tim Brackett pulled away from previous leader Jeff White and led comfortably the rest of the way.

Ricky Rolfe of Albany Township finished second and Scott Robbins of Dixfield was third. Chelsea’s Poncho Darveau and West Paris’ Mickey Green were fourth and fifth, respectively.

At Bangor, due to inclement weather, racing at Speedway 95 for Saturday was postponed. The makeup date will be Sunday, Aug. 15 with a doubleheader weekend.
