BROOKSVILLE – Bill Haviland will hold a slide show presentation on the American Indians of eastern Penobscot Bay from their first appearance in the area until the present day, at the annual meeting of the Brooksville Historical Society.
Haviland is a retired anthropologist who was educated at the University of Pennsylvania and taught at the University of Vermont. He is the author of the pamphlet “Deer Isle’s Original People.”
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, in the Town House. Refreshments will be served. The meeting is open to the public.
