AUGUSTA – Kenneth Allen, a former State House aide, died Thursday in an Augusta hospital. He was 53.
Allen graduated from the University of Maine and for years worked at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Waterville.
A former aide to the Maine House speaker, Allen was implicated in a ballot tampering scandal for which he served a brief jail term in 1993.
Allen was married and had four daughters and four sons. Burial will be in Litchfield.
