MARS HILL – Sheena Esancy scored one goal and assisted on another as the Fort Fairfield Tigers edged the Central Aroostook Panthers 3-2 in the mutual schoolgirl soccer opener Tuesday.
Kerri Cunningham and Allison Blaisdell each added unassisted goals for Fort Fairfield. Keegan O’Neal faced five shots, making no saves.
The Panthers rallied late as Brittany Collins scored with three minutes left in the game. Tory Bradbury followed a minute later off an assist from Brittany Taylor. Rachel Graves made nine saves on 19 shots for Central Aroostook.
So. Aroostook 3, Hodgdon 2
At Hodgdon, Mindy Watson scored two unassisted goals for the Warriors as they triumphed over Hodgdon.
Audrey Charette scored the third goal, also unassisted, for 0-1 Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook. Erin Caswell faced 28 shots and made 21 saves.
Andrea Blanchette and Melanie Sloat netted goals for the 1-1 Hawks. Casey Nightingale made 18 saves on 24 shots.

So. Aroostook 4, Hodgdon 0
At Hodgdon, Travis Brooker netted two goals for the Warriors of Dyer Brook.
Zach Austin and Tom St. Pierre each scored a goal and Robert Toothaker added an assist. For 1-0 Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook, Jeff Boutilier made five saves on five shots.
Jordan Quint faced 40 shots and registered 21 saves for the 0-2 Hawks.
Cen. Aroostook 7, Fort Fairfield 0
At Mars Hill, senior striker Jake Delano led the Panthers to a win with three goals.
Sam Clockedile, Jason Woodworth, Shaun Walling and Erick Martinez each scored for 1-0 Central Aroostook. Jon Boyd made 15 saves on 19 shots.
Alan Cloney made 19 saves on 37 shots for the 0-1 Tigers.
