BANGOR – The Bangor Lumberjacks of the Northeast League announced Thursday they have signed outfielder Brian Baker. Baker, 25, played most of this season with the Windy City (IL) Thunderbolts of the Frontier League, where he batted .303 with 18 home runs and 62 RBI with 19 stolen bases.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder is a native of Union City, Tenn.

“Brian has put together a marvelous season at Windy City and we are very fortunate to have stumbled into him,” said Lumberjacks manager Kash Beauchamp. “There’s no doubt that he will help us in the stretch run toward the postseason.”
