VAN BUREN – Andrew Martin scored two goals to lead the Van Buren Crusaders to a 3-0 schoolboy soccer victory over the Ashland Hornets Friday.

Tyler Lapierre netted a goal and Ben Doucette had an assist for 2-0 Van Buren. Dustin Cyr stopped all three shots he faced.

Kevin Baker made 10 saves on 18 shots for 0-1 Ashland.

Cent. Aroostook 3, Easton 0

At Mars Hill, Thursday, Erick Martinez scored two first-half goals to help lead Central Aroostook past Easton.

Brock Burtt scored a goal for the 2-0 Panthers and Jon Boyd made 10 saves on 14 shots.

Jeremy Brock stopped 21 of 35 shots for 1-1 Easton.

Girls soccer

Ashland 4, Van Buren 3

At Van Buren, Caitlin Sherman netted two goals, both on penalty kicks, to push Ashland past Van Buren.

Whitney Flint and Beth Chamberlin each scored a goal for the 1-0 Hornets and Ashley Nemer made six saves on 10 shots.

Megan Lajoie scored two goals for 0-2 Van Buren and Amber Martin added a goal. Lisa Levasseur blocked one of seven shots.

Houlton 2, Madawaska 1

At Madawaska, Danielle Soule scored two unassisted goals to help lead Houlton to the win.

Nicole Manton made 24 saves on 29 shots for the 1-1 Shiretowners.

Liz Clavette netted an unassisted goal for 1-2 Madawaska and Erin Pelletier stopped six of nine shots.

JV: Madawaska 2-0
