Ward, Ashland top Wisdom

ST. AGATHA – Isaac Ward netted two goals to lead the Ashland boys soccer team to a 4-2 win over Wisdom on Tuesday.

Curtis Belanger and Jeremy Baker each scored a goal for the Hornets. Kevin Baker made 15 saves on 22 shots.

Randy Thibeault and Chad Sirois each netted a goal for Wisdom and Brent Michaud stopped 11 of 25 attempts.

Southern Aroostook 1, Lee 0

At Lee, Evan McGary scored the game-winning goal off a Zac Austin assist 5:58 into the second half to lift the Warriors past the Pandas.

Jeff Boutilier made 10 saves on 21 shots for 2-0 Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook.

Chris King stopped three of five shots for 0-1 Lee.

Girls soccer

Ashland 5, Wisdom 0

At St. Agatha, five different Ashland players scored to pace the Hornets to the win.

Caitlin Sherman, Beth Chamberlin, Mindy Chasse, Angela Belskis and Melissa Cray each scored for Ashland. Ashley Nemer made eight saves on 14 shots.

Kayla Daigle stopped 15 of 26 attempts for the Pioneers.
