NEW YORK – Adam Cohen, 20, of Bangor earned top honors at the recent Musclemania New York Bodybuilding Competition.

Cohen placed first in both the junior division (age 22 and younger) and open age middleweight division (up to 175 pounds). He finished second overall in the competition.

Cohen, who plans to compete at the Musclemania World Championships in Anaheim, Calif., in November, is a 2003 graduate of Bangor High School. He is majoring in kinesiology at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Cohen trains at the Bangor Athletic Club under owner J.P. Soucy, and is a certified personal fitness trainer.
