Merchant wins Little Enduro finale

HERMON – Bob Merchant of Lamoine ended the Little Enduro season at Speedway 95 the same way he started, by winning the feature race in the division Wednesday night.

Merchant started on the pole and kept his Ford Escort in front of the field for the entire race. Derek McAlpine of Ellsworth placed second, with Richard Burrill of Sullivan, Kevin Colson of Frankfort, and Darren Durrell of Newburgh completing the top five.
