PATTEN – A ceremony of recognition was held Monday, Aug. 9, at the new Community Connections building in Patten by the Green Valley Association for the late Inez L. Bishop of Island Falls. Bishop founded the association in 1967 and served as its first president.

PATTEN – A ceremony of recognition was held Monday, Aug. 9, at the new Community Connections building in Patten by the Green Valley Association for the late Inez L. Bishop of Island Falls.

Bishop founded the association in 1967 and served as its first president. The association aims to provide education to children with developmental disabilities.

During the ceremony a picture was hung of Bishop in the Community Connections building recognizing her as a founder. It was put in place by two of her daughters, Margaret Dunphy of Island Falls and Jane Bishop of Patten. Eric Quint made a speech thanking Bishop for all her hard work
