AUGUSTA – Democrats are holding grand openings for their three main campaign offices in Bangor, Lewiston and Portland today. Hundreds of volunteers are expected to rally at the offices in the morning before fanning out to promote Democratic candidates, including John Kerry for president, in dozens of communities across the state.

The three openings will take place at 10:30 a.m. at 56 Main St. in Bangor, 110 Lisbon St. in Lewiston, and 137 Kennebec St. in Portland.

The volunteers will be led by U.S. Rep. Michael Michaud in Bangor, Gov. John Baldacci in Lewiston, and U.S. Rep. Tom Allen in Portland.
