Bangor woman injured in car, truck collision

BANGOR – A Bangor woman was injured when her car collided with a flatbed tractor-trailer on Monday morning near the Glenburn town line on Broadway. She later was treated and then released from Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

Kylie Gray, 25, was driving south at 8:45 a.m. when her Ford Escort drifted over the centerline, according to Bangor police Officer Jason McAmbley. Two flatbed trucks from Lane Construction in Hermon were heading north. One truck was able to swerve out of the way, but the other could not avoid Gray and the two vehicles collided.

The Escort’s driver’s side front end was smashed in. A neighbor reported the accident, and the Bangor Fire Department towed the vehicle.

Gray was taken by ambulance to the hospital because of head injuries and a bleeding arm.

Information on the truck and its driver was unavailable Monday evening.
