Bangor Lumberjacks outfielder Derry Hammond became the first three-time Northeast League Batter of the Week Monday after batting .370 with four home runs and 17 RBIs last week. He wound up his week with a 4-for-6, two-homer effort against New Jersey Sunday that netted him nine RBIs on the day. This is the eighth time this season a Bangor player has been named player of the week.
