St. Pierre nets winner to lift Wisdom

EASTON – Nicole St. Pierre scored the game-winning goal with 21:16 left in the second half to lift the Wisdom girls soccer team to a 3-2 victory over Easton Monday in high school action.

Justine Tardif scored twice for the Pioneers of St. Agatha. St. Pierre and Heidi Deprey each contributed an assist. Kayla Daigle stopped 16 of 18 shots.

Kassie Lovely scored twice for the Bears, who managed to tie the game up twice. Nina Alexander had an assist and Briana White made 10 saves on 14 shots.

Limestone 5, Hodgdon 4

At Limestone, Lindsey Beaulieu netted two goals as the Eagles held off the Hawks.

Leeann Kelley and Ellie Dunn each added a goal and an assist for Limestone-MSSM. Crystal Silva had a goal and Britany King had an assist, while Melanie Allen made six on 10 shots.

Collette Sloat scored twice as the Hawks tried to rally from a five-goal deficit. Sarah Lyan and Brianne McGary had a goal apiece. Kasey Nightingale saved four of nine shots.

Boys soccer

Easton 5, Wisdom 1

At Easton, five different Easton players recorded a goal as the Bears rolled.

Stephen Hopkins, Jared Flewelling, Matt Stele, Nick Flewelling and Mitchell Blodgett each scored a goal for Easton. Stele added an assist and Jeremy Brock made 21 saves on 29 shots.

Brandon Cyr scored for the Pioneers of St. Agatha and Brent Michaud stopped 18 of 28 shots.

Limestone 3, Hodgdon 2

At Limestone, Joe Leighton recorded two goals as the Eagles held off the Hawks.

John Poisson scored for 1-4 Limestone and Shinya Katagawa added an assist. Addison Rossignol and Ken Suitter combined for eight saves on 15 shots.

Justin Clayton and Thomas Duff each scored for 0-5 Hodgdon, while Jordan Quint stopped 10 of 15 shots.

Fort Kent 3, Madawaska 1

At Madawaska, Kelly Thibodeau, Derek Bonenfant and Matt Beaulieu each scored a goal as the Warriors earned the win.

Derek Plourde made eight saves on nine shots for the 2-1 team.

Myles Morneault scored 1-3-1 Madawaska’s goal while Paul Michaud stopped 10 of 13 shots.
