A half-dozen teens from the Bangor area were among 30,000 who participated last month in a Seventh-day Adventist campout in Oshkosh, Wis. The youth (photo) focused on their faith and community outreach, but they also took time on Aug. 13 to try to enter Guinness World Records for “most people brushing their teeth at the same time.” No word whether they made it. From left are Joella Velasquez, Harrisburg, N.H. (who attended with the Bangor-area group); Jessica Bragdon, Bangor; Jenna Neil, Hampden; Briana Batchelder, Clifton; Carissa Typaldos, Bangor. They are part of a Pathfinder Club (co-ed youth ages 10-14) at Greater Bangor Seventh-day Adventist Church, 42 Orion Way, Hermon. Call 848-2331 for information.
