CARIBOU – Shelby Cousins scored two goals to help the Caribou girls soccer team shut down Nokomis 3-0 Saturday in high school action.

Michelle Ouellette netted a goal for 2-2 Caribou as Billie Martin stopped one of four shots.

Danielle White made 16 saves on 29 shots for 0-1 Nokomis of Newport.

Presque Isle 4, Orono 0

At Orono, Katie Delong netted three goals to help power Presque Isle past Orono.

Natasha Deschene scored a goal for the 4-0 Wildcats and Emily Robertson had an assist. Brianna Young blocked four of six shots.

Heather Woodbury and Amanda Morrison combined to make four saves on 11 shots for 0-1 Orono.

Greenville 1, Buckfield 0

At Greenville, Hannah Breton scored on a Kristie Richardson assist with 12 minutes left to give Greenville the victory.

Beth Bartley stopped five of eight shots for 1-1 Greenville.

Shayna Shackford made 20 saves on 33 shots for 0-1 Buckfield.

Hermon 1, Ellsworth 0

At Ellsworth, Cassie White netted the lone goal of the game off a Torri Gibson assist as the Hawks earned the win.

Shannon Wiggins made four saves on six shots for Hermon.

Catie Cravens stopped six of seven shots for the 0-1 Eagles.

Boys soccer

Caribou 11, Nokomis 2

At Caribou, Jon Philips notched three goals as the Vikings gained a victory over the Warriors of Newport.

Eamonn Harrigan and Ben Wakana each scored twice and had one assist. Kyle Wambold added a goal and two assists, while Ryan Bossie and Eric Mowatt had a goal and an assist apiece. Kyle Corrigan also made a goal. Ben Willey, Phil Rose and Kyle Damboise each contributed an assist. Brad Ala made four saves on seven shots for 3-1 Caribou.

Evan McDaniel and Mat Thornton both netted unassisted goals for 0-1 Nokomis. Brendan Donaldson stopped 20 of 52 shots.

Presque Isle 5, Orono 1

At Orono, Nate Carter scored two goals to help lead Presque Isle to the victory.

Greg Whitaker, Robert Gartley, and Jeff Cole each netted a goal for the 4-0 Wildcats. Brad Baker stopped five of six shots.

Tommy Smyth scored a goal for 0-1 Orono and Mat Lint made eight saves on 13 shots.

Greenville 4, Buckfield 0

At Greenville, Jonah Lizotte scored three times to lead the Lakers past the Bucks.

Durgan McKusick added a goal and an assist. Kyle Whitman and Eric Driscoll each had an assist for the 1-0 team and Brandon Lavigne saved 12 of 19 shots.

Jerry Dodge made 12 saves on a total of 24 shots for 0-1 Buckfield.
