Meserve goal gives St. Joseph’s 1-0 victory

STANDISH – Morgan Meserve’s goal with 13 minutes left in the first half lifted Saint Joseph’s College to a 1-0 field hockey victory over Green Mountain College Monday.

Cheryl Northrup made three saves on five shots for St. Joseph’s. Ginger Kelly stopped one of 16 shots for Green Mountain.

Men’s soccer

Saint Joseph’s 1, Becker 1

At Standish, Harrison Deah scored at 89:31 of the second half Monday to rally host Saint Joseph’s to a 1-1 tie against Becker College.

Becker had taken a 1-0 lead late in the first half on a goal by Jay Tornblom.

Kenny Kehoe made 10 saves on 12 shots for Saint Joesph’s.

Women’s soccer

Regis 3, St. Joseph’s 1

At Standish, second-half goals by Kimberley Luciani and Melissa O’Donnell enabled Regis (Mass.) to rally past St. Joseph’s.

Maggie McMoarn of Lincoln staked the Monks to a 1-0 lead off a Kaitlyn Parent assist but Judy Solar answered 1:40 later.

Isabel Hall made five saves for Regis and Ilissa Vallee had 13 stops for St. Joseph’s.
