O’Neil, Bowdoin overpower Husson

BRUNSWICK – Marissa O’Neil scored two goals and assisted on another as Bowdoin rolled to a 5-0 field hockey victory over Husson College on Thursday.

Jessica Ross, Christi Gannon and Ashley Conti added goals for the 2-1 Polar Bears. Kate Leonard had one save.

Kelly Bocchino and Caitlin Ellis stopped nine shots for the 0-2 Eagles.

Women’s soccer

Colby 4, UM-Farmington 1

At Waterville, four different Mules scored in the victory.

Laura Williamson, Libba Cox, Meg Davis and Amanda Walsh all had goals while Meggie Herlihy, Katie McCabe and Kara McCabe added assists for 2-0-1 Colby. Elizabeth Riley had one save on three shots.

Kelsey Burk had the 1-2 Beavers’ lone goal. Alix Raymond and Melissa Demerchant had seven saves on 22 shots.

Men’s soccer

So. Maine 4, UMF 0

At Farmington, Andy Budelman scored two goals and assisted on another as the Huskies of Gorham blanked UM-Farmington.

Zach Ansley and Ed Weddington added goals for 3-0-1 USM. Chris Allard made five saves on seven shots.

Seabren Reeves and Eric Stailing had two saves on nine shots for the 1-1 Beavers.
