Bangor Lumberjacks player Isaac Pavlik became the fourth Northeast League player to be bought by a major league baseball team this week when he was sold to the San Diego Padres Friday. He’s the second Lumberjack to be sold this year, as Jake Whitesides was bought by the Chicago White Sox on July 22. Pavlik, a lefthanded pitcher, was 1-3 with a 3.73 ERA and had four saves for Bangor this season. Brockton’s Brian Buchanan along with Alex Santos and Paul Jacinto of Quebec were also sold this week.
