Don’t dwell on Vietnam

There are many issues facing our country right now that could be addressed well in our election process. Health care deficits, direction of foreign policy, oversight of our environment are all important issues.

What went on 30 years ago, who was there, who did what are much less pertinent. Bringing up the war in Vietnam has had an adverse effect on many of the veterans, disabled by post-traumatic stress disorder whom I have been privileged to treat for more than 20 years.

To dwell on that war does these people no service and is not nearly as relevant to the current process as what is going on in our country right now.
