STACYVILLE – Ronnie Robinson had two goals and assisted on another as the Katahdin Cougars picked up their first win this season with a 3-0 girls soccer upset over Fort Fairfield Monday.

Felicia Robinson added a goal for 1-7 Katahdin. Clarissa Gallagher had 14 saves on 16 shots.

Kellie Osgood stopped one out of 10 shots for the 7-4-1 Tigers.

Calais 3, East Grand 1

At Danforth, Emily Smith, Darcy Gillespie and Kayla Cobb each scored unassisted goals to give Calais the win.

Stephanie Perry had five saves on six shots for Calais.

Allie McKay scored unassisted for the 0-4 Vikings. Paula Osnoe stopped six out of nine shots.

Ellsworth 1, Bangor 0

At Ellsworth, Monique Boutaugh scored on a direct kick with five minutes left in the game to lift the Eagles to the win.

Catie Craven made seven saves on 10 shots for 2-3-1 Ellsworth.

Ilyse Angst stopped four of seven shots for the 1-3 Rams.

Boys soccer

Katahdin 3, Fort Fairfield 0

At Stacyville, Pat Willette had a goal and two assists as the Cougars prevailed.

Cameron Cunningham notched a goal plus an assist for the winners and Casey Savage added a goal. Burton Brayall had four saves on 11 shots.

Billy Scull stopped eight out of 19 shots for the Tigers.

Machias 3, Sumner 0

At Machias, Mike Little, Chase Ross and Patrick McDonald had a goal apiece as the Bulldogs blanked the Tigers of East Sullivan.

Jamie McCarthy notched two assists for 5-0 Machias. Marcus Frutchey stopped both shots he faced.

Mason Young had 15 saves on 18 shots for 0-4 Sumner.

Washington Acad. 7, Woodland 1

At East Machias, Minh Nguyen, Peter Edwards and Drake Simmons each scored two goals to lead the host Raiders past Woodland.

Miguel Lopes scored one goal for the 5-0 Raiders. Jeremy Gray and Josiah Jackson combined for eight saves on 18 shots.

Brent Carlow scored the only goal for the 1-3 Dragons. Cory Townsend and Tyler Croman saved 12 of 38 shots.

Calais 5, Narraguagus 0

At Harrington, Doug Connolly and Devon McPhee each scored two goals as the Blue Devils blanked ‘Guagus.

Nick Proventure made seven saves on 10 shots for 2-3 Calais.

Josh Cook stopped seven out of 15 shots for the 1-4 Knights.

Shead 2, Jonesport-Beals 0

At Eastport, Craig Hastings saved six of the seven shots he faced to notch a shutout and help lead the Shead Tigers of Eastport to the win.

Aaron Sullivan and Cody Bulmer each scored unassisted goals for 4-2 Shead.

Ben Ellis made nine saves on 11 shots for the 0-3 Royals.

Lee 2, Schenck 0

At East Millinocket, Jake King and Drew Pickering each scored unassisted goals for the Pandas in the win.

Chris King had seven saves on nine shots for 5-1 Lee.

Lanny Thompson stopped 14 out of 18 shots for the 3-3-1 Wolverines.

Bangor Christian 5, Central 2

At Bangor, Ignacio Bustos scored twice as the Patriots rolled over the Red Devils.

Shane Murphy, Josh Griffin and Eric Sobey each chipped in with a goal for 4-1-1 Bangor Christian. Josh Frost added a goal and Aaron Wilson stopped nine of 16 shots.

Danny Kane and Nick Elliot had a goal apiece for 5-2 Central of Corinth and Levi Nickerson had an assist. Charles Haney made nine saves on 26 shots.

Field hockey

Hampden 2, Old Town 1

At Old Town, Gretchen Lescord and Erika Veinote scored unassisted goals as the Broncos remained unbeaten.

Michelle Wells had five saves on seven shots for 6-0 Hampden.

Kaleigh Dupuis scored unassisted for the 0-6 Indians. Kitty Campbell stopped eight out of 10 shots.

Belfast 8, Lincoln Acad. 0

At Belfast, Abi Maycock knocked in three goals and Sam Ellis two more as the Lions rolled.

Katie Nickerson notched a goal and three assists for 5-1 Belfast. Casey Muherin and Sophie Scott added a goal each and Bryna Harrington stopped all three shots she faced.

Jen Roche made 12 saves on 20 shots for the 1-4-1 Eagles of Newcastle.

Nokomis 3, Foxcroft 2

At Newport, Kristi Kennedy scored two goals to help the Warriors improve to 3-2-1.

Alyssa Bragdon added a goal and her twin sister, Ashley Bragdon, chipped in with an assist for Nokomis. Jenna Veazie, Sarah Bradstreet and Michelle Barden each added an assist and Kirsten Gould made five saves on five shots.

For 2-4 Foxcroft, Ashley Smith made nine saves on 13 shots.
