LINCOLN – Bethany Libby scored two goals to lead Mattanawcook Academy to a 3-0 high school field hockey victory over Bangor on Wednesday.
Heather Gulesian had a goal and an assist for 4-3-1 Mattanawcook Academy. Shannon Pietras and Dyna Vose each had an assist. Melanie Markie and Sarah French combined to make two saves on five shots.
Sarah Hanselman stopped 10 of 16 shots for 2-5 Bangor.

Hampden 3, Brewer 0
At Brewer, Gretchen Lescord scored the game’s first goal to push Hampden Academy to the win.
Tina Lumino and Erica Veinote each had unassisted goals for 6-1 Hampden. Caroline Samp made six saves on nine shots.
Zora Merrill stopped 14 of 18 shots for 0-6 Brewer.

Hermon 4, Old Town 0
At Hermon, Kate Campbell scored a goal and assisted on another to lead Hermon to the victory.
Valaree Chailoux, Nicole Thompson and Jessica Deprey each scored for 1-4 Hermon. Kat Cyr and Emily Bell each had an assist. Meagan McCready stopped 10 of 14 shots.
Karey Littlefield and Kitty Campbell combined to make nine saves on 13 shots for 0-7 Old Town.

Foxcroft 3, John Bapst 2
At Bangor, Tamlyn Frederick scored three goals, including the game-winner on a Rolina Mitchell assist with 11:24 left in the second half to give Foxcroft Academy the win.
Summer Crocker added an assist for 3-4 Foxcroft. Ashley Smith stopped 20 of 22 shots.
Ali Dunn scored two goals for 4-1-1 John Bapst and Erika Getchell and Marci Scolfield each had an assist. Meredith Atkinson made eight saves on 13 shots.

Bangor 1, Old Town 0 (OT)
At Old Town, Erin MacDermott scored an unassisted goal two minutes into overtime to lead Bangor to the win.
Ilyse Angst made 15 saves on 20 shots for 2-3 Bangor.
Amy McFalls stopped 13 of 15 shots for 3-2 Old Town.

Ellsworth 2, GSA 0
At Blue Hill, Ashley Oleson scored a goal with 19:39 left in the first half to push Ellsworth to the victory.
Emily Miller scored on a direct kick from Anna Briggs 19:05 into the second half for 3-3-1 Ellsworth. Catie Cravens made four saves on 14 shots.
Kayla Eaton stopped five of nine shots for 2-3-1 George Stevens Academy.

Presque Isle 7, MDI 0
At Mount Desert, Emily Robertson scored three goals and Natasha Deschene added two goals to lead the Presque Isle Wildcats to the a 7-0 schoolgirl soccer victory over Mount Desert Island on Wednesday.
Kylan Smith and Sarah Gonsiorki each scored one goal for the 9-0 Wildcats. Brianna Young saved four of seven shots.
Asia Ross saved 14 of 31 shots for the 0-3-3 Trojans.
Boys soccer
Lee 5, Penquis 1
At Lee, Jake Kang scored two goals and Rick Kim chipped in with a goal and two assists as the Pandas prevailed.
Tom Bird and Doob Dow each added a goal for 6-1 Lee. Chris King and Cameron Hamilton combined to stop three of seven shots.
Nathan Allen scored for the 2-3 Patriots of Milo while Drew Hamlin stopped 22 of 30 shots.
Dexter 4, Deer Isle-Stonington 1
At Dexter, freshmen Rick Stewart and Ethan Woodman combined on three goals and two assists for the Tigers.
Stewart had two goals and one assist, while Woodman added a goal and an assist.
Junior Brandon Woodman added a goal off an assist by sophomore Aaron Woodman.
All of the Woodmans are brothers.
Nick Ciomei scored for Deer Isle-Stonington on an assist from Miles Douglass.
Sam Bowers made 14 saves on 16 shots for 2-4 Dexter. Rob Haskell made 15 saves on 35 shots for 2-3 Deer Isle-Stonington.

At Pittsfield, Pedro Puigarnau scored on a Mark Trombley assist in the first half to lead host Maine Central Institute to victory.
Andrew DeBerthune added a second-half goal for 3-4 MCI. Tristan Goewey made two saves on eight shots.
Ross Caron stopped seven of 14 shots for 2-4-1 Mount View of Thorndike.

Piscataquis 6, Searsport 2
At Searsport, Jeff Robinson scored two goals to lift Piscataquis of Guilford past Searsport.
Andy Zimmerman, Roy Burdin, Tobias Heine and Jarred Robinson each scored a goal for Piscataquis. Ryan Martell made seven saves on nine shots.
Josh Nickerson and Hiroki Dempo each scored for Searsport. Garrett Greenlaw made 22 saves on 28 shots.
Machias 5, Washington Acad. 1
At the University of Maine at Machias, James McCarthy scored three goals as Machias defeated Washington Academy of East Machias in a midseason battle of unbeatens.
Zac McNally added a pair of goals for the defending Class D state champions, who led 3-1 at intermission.
Miguel Lopes scored on a penalty kick in the first half for Washington Academy.
