Orrington Recreation youth, midget soccer

ORRINGTON – After postponing the soccer games on Saturday due to the rains left from Hurricane Ivan, the Orrington Recreation Committee kicked off the season Sunday, Sept. 19, in the Midget/U10 league. The first Youth/U14 League match was held Monday, Sept. 21.

Games results are:

. Midget/U10 League, Sunday, Sept. 19: T.J.’s Market (1-0) 1, Garrett’s Auto Sales (0-1) 0.

Nick Galinski scored the lone goal for T.J.’s.

. Orrington Recreation (1-0) 2, Pine Hill Services (0-1) 0.

Mitchell Kidder and Andrew Kidder each scored goals for the Orrington Recreation team.

. Ryan’s Carpet Cleaning (1-0) 3, UMaine (0-1) 0.

The trio of Hunter Pate, Nick Jordan and Braeden Sickle each notched goals to lead the offense of Ryan’s Carpet Cleaning.

. Maine Test Borings (1-0) 3, Crescent Lumber (0-1) 1.

Devon Foley notched Crescent Lumber’s goal. Maine Test Borings’ Kevin Leclerc scored two goals.

. Youth/U14 League, Monday, Sept. 20: Raiders (1-0) 4, PERC (0-1) 1.

The Raiders saw solid offense from Dan Turner with two goals and Nick Ramsey and Joe Gagne with one goal apiece. The PERC team’s Brad Billings kicked in one goal.
