Woman arrested for violating bail conditions

An Old Town woman was arrested Tuesday for violating bail conditions that resulted from a search of her home last week.

Police received information that Jennifer Neptune, 31, appeared impaired when she picked up her son from a local daycare. She is not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs while free on bail, according to police.

A search of Neptune’s residence later Tuesday produced alcohol, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and fireworks, according to police. She was charged with violating conditions of release.

Police searched Neptune’s apartment on Sept. 12 and discovered oxycodone, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. As a result of that incident, Neptune was charged with falsifying physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a Schedule W drug.

A Bangor man who was in police custody on an out-of-state warrant Wednesday had to be released.

James Redden, 28, was approached by Brewer police on Coffin Avenue at 3:30 p.m. in connection with a theft warrant out of Florida, according to police. Redden was arrested on the warrant, but Florida officials later decided not to extradite him because the stolen property was recovered.

Redden was summoned for possessing a usable amount of marijuana before police released him.

A man who lost control of his car and crashed into a rock wall Wednesday in Old Town was not injured.

Charles Rustin, 61, of Milford was traveling east on Center Street at 4 p.m. when he hit a curb near the Stillwater Avenue intersection, according to reports. Rustin then overcorrected into the oncoming lane, veered off the road and hit a rock wall.

The accident caused an estimated $1,000 in damage to Rustin’s vehicle.
